The men’s basketball game between the University of Kentucky and Ohio State University in the CBS Sports Classic, previously scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled, per release.
The cancellation is due to positive COVID-19 test results within the Buckeyes’ program. OSU will not travel to Las Vegas and the matchup will not be made up.
UK announced that the program is working with CBS Sports Classic to find a new opponent and still intends to fly out to Las Vegas today.
UCLA, one of the other programs in the four-team annual showcase, has had positive test results within its program this week as well. The Bruins canceled their game against Alabama State on Wednesday.
UCLA athletic director Martin Jarmond shared on Twitter did not have an update on the team’s status regarding their upcoming tilt in the event against North Carolina.
No replacement game has been announced for UK and UCLA vs. UNC has not been called off at the time of posting.
